Medical Assistant III

UTHealth is seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant III to join our team. As a member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care that is safe, effective, timely, efficient, and equitable.
Key Responsibilities- Perform clinical and administrative tasks to support the delivery of patient care.
- Prepare patients for exams and procedures, and assist with routine and specialty procedures.
- Collect and process lab samples, and perform point-of-care testing.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, and ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program or one year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Three years of experience in a healthcare setting required; certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA) may be substituted for Medical Assistant training program.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
