Job Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as an Infant Childcare Assistant at Colt's & Filly's Childcare.

About the Role

In this role, you will support lead teachers in providing care, implementing our curriculum, and maintaining a nurturing environment for infants. You will also assist with daily routines and help ensure a safe, engaging, and loving atmosphere for the infants in our care.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing activities that promote the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of infants
  • Help with feeding, diapering, and maintaining infant hygiene routines
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants
  • Support the lead teacher in maintaining records and communicating with parents about their child's development and daily activities
  • Assist in setting up and cleaning the classroom
  • Engage with infants in play, tummy time, and other developmental activities
  • Follow the center's policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children
  • Work collaboratively with the lead teacher and other team members to maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
Requirements
  • Previous experience in infant care or early childhood education preferred, but not required
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Meet state-specific qualifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Physically able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds and engage in daily caregiving tasks like diapering, feeding, and holding infants
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with parents and colleagues
  • Patience and love for working with infants
  • Willingness to follow the lead teacher's instructions and assist with classroom duties
