Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a reliable advisor to clients, steering their digital inclusion initiatives and assisting in the development and expansion of their accessibility frameworks.
  • Support clients in formulating strategies, timelines, policies, and procedures to enhance their organization-wide accessibility efforts.
  • Deliver technical solutions and remediation advice to eliminate accessibility obstacles from digital platforms.
  • Perform thorough accessibility evaluations of digital assets, examining web code or mobile applications, and pinpointing accessibility challenges using various assistive technologies.
  • Design and deliver training resources to improve comprehension and application of accessibility guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in advising clients on inclusive design principles and digital accessibility regulations.
  • In-depth understanding of W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, The Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 508, and current accessibility standards.
  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and WAI-ARIA (knowledge of JavaScript is advantageous).
  • Familiarity with automated accessibility assessment tools and the capability to analyze and prioritize findings.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline such as computer science, digital design, or user experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in digital accessibility, software engineering, or digital design focused on user experience.
