Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Billings Urology Clinic. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician, or other specified healthcare professional.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform basic nursing care to patients by following established standards and procedures.
  • Collect patient data such as vital signs, note how the patient looks and acts, or responds to stimuli, and report this information accordingly.
  • Prepare and administer injections, perform routine tests, treat wounds, and change bandages.
  • Prepare patient records and files using established medical record forms/automated systems and documentation practices.
  • Administer medications within scope of license, and monitor and document treatment progress and patient response.
  • Participate in the implementation and evaluation of patient care based on practice guidelines, standards of care, and federal/state laws and regulations.
  • Convey information to patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Participate in teams to improve patient care processes and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing program required.
  • Current/valid Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse from the state licensing board is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) is required.
  • May need IV certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year experience in a clinic or acute hospital nursing setting preferred.
  • One (1) year Specialty clinic experience preferred.
Work Environment

This position requires regular attendance to perform work on site during regularly scheduled business hours or scheduled shifts. The employee will be expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, and may be expected to stand in a stationary position for an extended period of time.
