Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse at Rimrock, you will provide high-quality patient care in accordance with established nursing standards and the organization's policies. You will ensure adherence to state statutes, CARF standards, and federal regulations, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2. Your role will involve positively representing the organization and promoting Rimrock's Mission to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily nursing assessments on new patients under the supervision of an RN, provide report to providers, and formulate nursing care plans and charts in the Electronic Health Record.
  • Administer medications as ordered and make frequent rounds to observe, assess, and meet patient needs and conditions in the Medical Unit.
  • Chart progress notes on patients' complaints, nursing observations, and condition changes, including incident reports and behavior forms.
  • Report pertinent nursing or medical information regarding patients to the Director of Patient Care.
  • Count controlled drugs at the beginning and end of shift.
  • Participate in continuing education and in-service education programs for the improvement of patient care and own professional growth and development.

Requirements
  • Graduated from an accredited nursing program and received a diploma.
  • Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of Montana.
  • Current CPR training and First Aid.
  • Knowledge and understanding of current nursing theory and practice.
  • Ability to establish appropriate rapport with chemically dependent patients.
  • Understanding of chemical dependency therapy process and ability to function as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.
Work Environment

The work environment involves everyday risk or discomfort requiring normal safety precautions in an office setting, meeting room, and patient care areas. Work may involve mental and emotional stress. Some driving is required, and work will primarily be at the Main Facility.
