Job Title: Dedicated Aide

About the Role:

The Dedicated Aide will provide individualized support to students with disabilities in a public school setting. This role requires a high level of patience, understanding, and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each student.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with daily living skills, including toileting, feeding, and physical prompting.
  • Provide orientation and mobility support to students.
  • Implement passive physical management techniques, following training.
  • Collect data on student academic and behavioral concerns.
  • Ensure student safety and well-being at all times.
  • Support students with the use of assistive technology, following training.
  • Accompany students during activities, such as recess, lunch, and classroom activities.
  • Reinforce educational concepts using instructional objectives and lessons developed by the teacher.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure student success.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or 48 college credit hours, or a passing score on the Paraprofessional Praxis.
  • Successful background and drug clearance.
  • Previous experience in the education sector is a plus.
