Job Summary

The Johnson Controls International Fire Alarm Installation Technician will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role requires strong technical knowledge of fire alarm systems, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and test fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fire alarm systems, including troubleshooting and replacing faulty components
  • Collaborate with project managers and electrical contractors to ensure successful project execution
  • Develop and implement detailed input-output matrices for fire alarm system design concepts
  • Provide technical support and training to colleagues and customers as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Fire Alarm Technician or Security Technician
  • Completion of a college diploma in Fire Protection or Electrical/Electronic
  • Working knowledge of Local building codes
  • Proficient in the use of computers and electronic test equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to express clear technical solutions
  • Ability to lift equipment and tools up to 40lbs and climb ladders and scaffolding
  • Possess a valid driver's license and strong communication skills
  • Willing to obtain NICET certification
