Fire Alarm Installation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Installation Technician to join our team at Koorsen Fire & Security Inc. in Evansville, IN. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4+ years of experience in installing fire alarm systems and their components, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

- Install fire alarm systems and their components to ensure proper functionality.
- Interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional manner.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of safety regulations and practices.
- Continuously learn and improve skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 4+ years of experience in installing fire alarm systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
- Experience with electronic testing devices.
- Pass drug and background screenings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fire Life Safety, Low Voltage, or Security experience.
- Fire Alarm Manufacturer certifications.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Physical Demands:
- Able to safely and effectively use general hand and power tools.
- Must be able to use a cell phone and phone apps effectively.
- Lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. Push and pull more significant than 75 lbs.
- Climb a ladder reaching at least 12 feet and use a man lift to perform services.
Hiring Process:
- New hires must complete the I-9 Verification form within three days of employment.
- All Positions require background checks with criminal courts, state and county repositories of criminal records, and the Department of Motor Vehicles.
- A test for Evidence of Substance Abuse by urinalysis test is required if this application results in an offer of employment.
