We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to lead our fabrication department in Millersburg, Oregon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring optimal throughput and production efficiencies by developing effective processes and equipment utilization strategies.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of supervising a team of 20 direct reports with diverse personalities and experience in a union environment. You will be a bridge between day shift and graveyard, leveraging your communication skills to ensure information is passed on accurately to the next shift.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of production staff to achieve safe and efficient operation of the production areas
- Develop and implement effective processes and equipment utilization strategies to meet production goals and objectives
- Train, coach, motivate, and lead the production workforce to ensure quality and safety standards are met
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and safety
- Monitor processes and tasks to identify problems and improvement opportunities
- Identify, plan, and lead improvement events
- Interpret and enforce policies while maintaining the provisions of the labor agreement
Requirements:
- 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing or a heavy industrial environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software Suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing practices and continuous improvement concepts
Salary Range: $63,100 to $81,900/annually
