Position Overview

As an Automotive Customer Service Specialist, you will play a crucial role in advising customers on their vehicle service requirements. You will be responsible for creating repair orders and facilitating communication between customers and the service department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet and assist customers upon arrival.
  • Identify the nature of customer concerns; may conduct road tests or visual inspections of vehicles.
  • Prepare detailed Repair Order Requests (ROR) outlining necessary services or products.
  • Secure customer approval for services prior to handing over to service personnel.
  • Review completed services with customers and process payments.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the showroom and restock displays as necessary.
  • Conduct daily cash and sales procedures at the end of the business day.
  • Adhere to the company's Quality Control Program, Safety Policy, and all relevant regulations.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a high school diploma or equivalent vocational training. Familiarity with computerized sales and marketing software is essential, along with knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair issues.

Preferred Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in a retail environment, preferably in automotive services.
  • A minimum of 3 years as a Service Advisor in an automotive repair facility or dealership.
  • Background as a vehicle mechanic or lubrication technician is advantageous.
