Role Responsibilities: The Shift Leader at MAD Greens is enthusiastic about delivering outstanding hospitality experiences. This role includes responsibilities for opening and closing the restaurant as required. You will support the General Manager and Assistant General Manager during your shifts, ensuring a positive atmosphere for both guests and team members. Your ability to foster a fun and collaborative environment is essential.
Key Duties:
- Lead the restaurant effectively in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant General Manager.
- Oversee the training and development of team members during shifts, ensuring adherence to operational policies, cash handling, and safety protocols.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members and follow up to ensure completion.
- Welcome guests warmly to create a comfortable dining experience.
- Assist in food preparation, utilizing kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Monitor food quality and temperatures throughout service to guarantee freshness and safety.
- Adhere to sanitation and safety guidelines, including proper knife handling and equipment use.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the restaurant, ensuring proper opening and closing procedures are followed.
- Ensure accurate order taking and cash handling by team members.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the brand and menu offerings.
- Address guest concerns and complaints, escalating issues to management as necessary.
- Prepare the restaurant for each shift with the team.
- Act with integrity and knowledge that promotes the MAD Greens culture.
- Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Contribute positively to the team environment.
