Job Summary

BDI Bridge Diagnostics is seeking a highly organized and results-driven Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. This role will be responsible for preparing and reviewing invoices for accuracy and completeness, resolving billing issues, collections, and maintaining accurate records for numerous client accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare invoices for Cost Reimbursable (CP), Time and Materials (T&M), and Firm Fixed Price (FFP) projects.
  • Review invoices and backup for accuracy and completeness.
  • Manage accounts receivable, sending customers monthly statements, following up on past due balances, escalating to Project Manager and/or Controller for collections.
  • Resolve billing issues, such as discrepancies or disputes, by communicating with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate and complete billing records and reports.
  • Act as main point of contact with client questions regarding invoicing.
  • Assist with audits, including providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  • Identify and recommend updates to accounting processes and procedures.
  • Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Review contracts for billing instructions for Cost Reimbursable (CP), Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Time & Material (T&M) contracts.
  • Coordinate with Project Managers for revenue recognition, preparation of customer invoices and supporting documentation in accordance with contractual requirements including submittal of invoices in required customer payment systems.
  • Assists with other accounting and finance functions.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Desired study fields include accounting, bookkeeping, and business administration.
  • 2+ years of related work experience in a billing department.
  • Proficient working in Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP system preferred.
  • High level knowledge and experience of working with spreadsheets.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
