About the Role

The IDCS Solutions Consultant will play a crucial part in creating project designs, implementation documents, and supporting custom build solutions. This role involves examining current business architectural designs and collaborating with team members to ensure successful project implementation and completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with sales teams to interpret customer needs and project scope
  • Attend customer meetings to present project scope and answer technical questions
  • Advocate SHI's recommended solutions and convey confidence in meeting customer expectations
  • Create project design, documentation, and supplementary documents for build teams
  • Develop bill of materials (BOM) for project designs
  • Provide support to management, including build/BOM review, design, and technical document creation
  • Oversee a portfolio of technical customer projects
  • Ensure successful end-to-end delivery of rack integration services and deployments
  • Obtain certifications as required to become an expert with SHI partner products and solutions
  • Attend webinars and training from partner vendors to stay up-to-date on technologies and best practices
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent relevant industry experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience creating custom technical documentation
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with high availability architectures and clustering solutions
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience with virtualization (hypervisors, server, and desktop virtualization)
  • Minimum 2 years' experience with technical knowledge and consultative skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Experience creating diagrams and working with stencils in Microsoft Visio
  • Experience working with AirTable
  • Skills in programming languages such as Python
Unique Requirements
  • Extended hours may be required to complete assigned work tasks
  • Ability to move or lift up to 50lbs
  • Travel may be required for certification and occasional local travel to customer locations
