We are working with a leading 3PL client to find talented professionals to join their team. They are seeking motivated individuals who are eager to learn and advance professionally in the logistics industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain management and be able to identify and vet prospective carriers to build a pipeline of service providers.

The Logistics Sales Executive/BDM will be responsible for gathering information from clients to determine their shipping needs, obtaining shipping quotes from carriers, and booking freight service through carriers for clients.

The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with carriers and clients located around the world.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and vetting prospective carriers to build a pipeline of service providers.
  • Gathering information from clients to determine their shipping needs.
  • Obtaining shipping quotes from carriers and passing them on to clients.
  • Booking freight service through carriers for clients.
  • Coordinating the pickup and drop off of shipments.
  • Monitoring the progress of shipments to ensure that goods arrive promptly and undamaged.
  • Updating customer management software to keep client records accurate.
  • Advising clients on potential supply chain issues.

Key qualifications include:

  • Extensive knowledge of supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with logistics software, customer relationship management software, and spreadsheets.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities to find solutions to issues that arise before, during, and after shipments.
  • Well-honed negotiating skills to get the best possible quotes for customers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with carriers and clients located around the world.
  • Analytical skills to determine which carriers offer the right set of services for various clients.
  • Networking skills to build relationships with prospective clients and carriers.
  • Proven sales skills to obtain new clients and carriers and close shipping deals.
