Location: Shelborne South Beach

Overview:

The Guest Services Representative plays a crucial role in ensuring a seamless experience for our guests at Shelborne South Beach. This position involves managing daily operations at the front desk, fulfilling guest requests, and serving as a key representative of our hotel brand.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome and check-in guests upon arrival, ensuring accurate registration and verification of reservation details.
  2. Process payments for guest accounts during check-in and check-out, maintaining a secure house bank.
  3. Issue room keys and manage safety deposit box access.
  4. Handle miscellaneous charges as requested by guests.

Attendance and Compliance:

Regular attendance is essential for the successful execution of this role. Employees are expected to adhere to established attendance standards and participate in scheduled training sessions.

Supportive Duties:

In addition to primary responsibilities, the Guest Services Representative may assist with:

  • Providing information about hotel amenities and local attractions.
  • Booking reservations for guests approaching the front desk.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic computational and computer skills.
  • Familiarity with the local area and hotel services.

Physical Requirements:

This role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 15 lbs, and perform various tasks that involve manual dexterity.

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with one to two years of experience in a front office role within the hospitality industry.
