Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently collect and manage cardboard boxes, waste, and other production-related paper materials into designated disposal units.
  • Safely transport materials within disposal units to appropriate locations.
  • Operate the baler machinery, which compresses and secures paper by-products. This requires a solid understanding of machine setup, adjustments, and operational characteristics.
  • Remove bales from the baling equipment and position them in specified areas for recycling or disposal.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment by performing sweeping and other cleaning tasks as necessary.
  • Occasionally assist in stocking finished products onto pallets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:

To effectively carry out the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Reach: Extend hands and arms in various directions.
  • Stand: Remain upright on feet for extended periods.
  • Stoop: Bend body downward and forward.
  • Walk: Move about on foot to complete tasks and transition between work areas.
  • Push: Use upper extremities to exert steady force against objects.
  • Pull: Use upper extremities to draw or tug objects in a sustained manner.
  • Lift: Raise objects from lower to higher positions or move them horizontally, potentially lifting items weighing up to 42 pounds.

Additional Information:

Work Environment: The position is based in an indoor production setting, with no exposure to external environmental conditions.

Employment Status: Full-time, regular (40 hours per week).

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Compensation: In accordance with salary transparency requirements, the hourly wage for this role is $16.00, with potential increases following the successful completion of the introductory period. Annual performance-based raises are also available.
