Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing comprehensive clinical care to patients with bleeding and clotting disorders. The successful candidate will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide direct patient care, education, and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including physical assessments, laboratory tests, and medication management.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and research in hematology and thrombosis.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and participate in research studies as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Colorado RN licensure or ability to obtain Colorado RN licensure.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a registered nurse, preferably in pediatric hematology or a related field.
  • Basic life support certification or ability to obtain basic life support certification.
  • Ability to pass a national criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of experience as a registered nurse, preferably in pediatric hematology or a related field.
  • Pediatric advanced life support and/or ACLS certification.
  • Five years' experience in clinical service or three years of care coordination experience.
  • Hemostasis and thrombosis experience.
  • Advanced IV access and phlebotomy skills.
