Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Drydock Operations Specialist to join our team at NSC Technologies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marine construction and vessel repair, with a focus on drydock operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation of outfitting items, reading and understanding drawings, and working with sketches to ensure accurate alignment of vessel components.

Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety procedures and guidelines, as well as company policies and regulations.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the installation of outfitting items
  • Read and understand drawings and sketches
  • Ensure accurate alignment of vessel components
  • Comply with all safety procedures and guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Develop and implement effective work schedules
  • Train and develop subordinates
  • Coordinate with Repair Manager for quality issues and inspections
  • Review and maintain production schedules
  • Coordinate with Maintenance and Facilities on related issues

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marine engineering or equivalent
  • At least 2 years' experience in marine construction, preferably vessel repair
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical demands include standing, sitting, walking, squatting, kneeling, stooping, or climbing stairs or a ladder of up to 15 steps
  • Ability to carry items up to a maximum of 20 pounds
