Job Opportunity

Mclaurin Aerospace is seeking a qualified US citizen student to fill a part-time internship position supporting analysis tasks on cutting-edge problems supporting flight software development for a research launch vehicle program.

The ideal candidate is a self-starting, motivated, aspiring scientist with exceptional organizational skills. Candidates having experience with embedded hardware and software development (C/C++), operating systems (Linux/BSD), socket programming, signal processing, and/or advanced networking are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Support analysis tasks on cutting-edge problems supporting flight software development for a research launch vehicle program.
  • Collaborate with mentors to align task areas with academic goals.
  • Commit to a minimum of 40 hours per month, with opportunities for additional commitments.

Qualifications

  • Eligible for both graduate and undergraduate students, with undergraduate candidates requiring at least 60 credit hours of undergraduate coursework.
  • Located at the Mclaurin Aerospace research facility in downtown Knoxville, TN, near the University of Tennessee - Knoxville.
  • US citizenship and ability to pass a comprehensive security background investigation required.
