Patient Service Representative Float

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our ambulatory clinic team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and support in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Provide excellent patient service and support in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics and patient service areas.
- Manage patient flow and ensure a smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process.
- Collect and process patient payments, including copays, coinsurance, and deductibles.
- Assist with scheduling appointments, including internal and external referrals.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ year of experience in customer service or healthcare setting preferred.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Epic Cadence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- College coursework or degree in healthcare or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills.
