We are seeking a talented and motivated Process Engineering Co-Op/Intern to join our team at Coty. As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving process improvements and optimizing manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Apply process improvement tools, including statistical process control, process mapping, control charts, design of experiments, Lean methodology, and process capability studies.
- Analyze critical line data to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop standards and train line technicians on continuous improvement techniques.
- Develop and document processes, including process flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including New Product Development, Packaging Concept Development, Technical Packaging Development, Engineering, and Manufacturing, to ensure effective implementation of new products.
- Work with Supplier Quality Engineers to ensure operational requirements are met and material supplier capabilities are optimized.
- Drive cost savings through improved productivity, material utilization improvements, and labor optimization.
- B.S. Degree in an Engineering Discipline with 1-2 years remaining until graduation.
- Working knowledge of statistics, including Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Design of Experiments (DOE).
- Lean tools, including poka yoke, mistake proofing, pFMEA, SMED, Standard work, value stream mapping, TPM, 5S, continuous flow, visual factory, pull systems/Kanban.
- Intermediate to advanced level computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, drawing software, and SAP.
