Job Summary

Rogers Freels & Associates Inc is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer II to join our team. As a key member of our engineering staff, you will apply Lean Manufacturing methodologies to improve efficiency and reduce costs throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process Optimization: Establish and implement efficient production processes, including routings, methods, and layouts for assembly lines.
  • Cost Reduction: Provide cost estimates, methods documentation, quality plans, and labor standards for current and new products.
  • Troubleshooting: Support and troubleshoot current production issues, investigating and analyzing data to implement solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and implement plans to support Lean Manufacturing, improving cost, quality, safety, and ergonomics.
  • Material Flow: Improve material flow and presentation, preparing charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, and material handling.
  • Lead Time Studies: Conduct lead time studies for capacity, energy, productivity, and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science in Engineering or Industrial Technology.
  • Demonstrates a strong mechanical aptitude through work experience or hobbies.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiar with Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools and methodologies.
  • Must be a self-starter, good communication skills, able to thrive in a collaborative environment.
  • Must have a valid Driver's License.
Desired Experience
  • Experience in a production environment working with cross-functional teams.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with manufacturing, fabrication, inventory management, supply chain/logistics, or assembly operations.
  • Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis.
  • Database Management.
  • Microsoft Excel proficient.
  • 2-4 years relevant experience.
