Job Title: Manufacturing Equipment Assembler

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Equipment Assembler to join our team at Wallenius Wilhelmsen. As a key member of our equipment processing center in Sanford, NC, you will be responsible for assembling heavy equipment using hand, electric, and air-powered tools.

Responsibilities:
  • Complete assembly of partially built heavy equipment
  • Unpackage, install, and remove machine parts
  • Operate equipment, including backing up, tilting, or raising/lowering attachments or other machine movements to facilitate proper assembly
  • Work outside in all reasonable weather conditions
  • Read and interpret machine manuals and schematics for assembly purposes
  • Adhere to OSHA standards and company safety regulations
Qualifications:
  • Ability to operate various types of heavy equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes
  • Ability to read and interpret machine manuals and schematics
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems for construction and agricultural equipment
  • Sufficient hand dexterity and strength to operate a sledgehammer, power tools, and withstand vibration of tools
  • Ability to lift overhead 50 lbs and climb to/work at heights of up to 15 feet
  • Ability to complete a full workday walking and/or standing in all reasonable weather conditions
  • Steel-toed boots/shoes
  • Current valid driver's license
Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional shop/yard environment. Frequent exposure to the elements (such as dust, dirt, rain) and chemicals (such as fumes and fluids) occur during operation of construction and agricultural equipment, cranes, forklifts, welding, painting, etc.
