Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Materials Receiving Clerk 3rd Shift to join our team at Mobis North America LLC. This role involves managing the receipt and verification of direct and consigned material shipments, maintaining trailer yard records for FIFO inventory management, and supporting internal and external communications to resolve issues related to production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Authenticate receipt of direct and consigned material shipments alongside bills of lading, invoices, or other records.
  • Confer and correspond with internal departments and external representatives to execute requests and rectify problems.
  • Manage trailer yard records to maintain First In First Out (FIFO) throughout the plant.
  • Verify incoming material against the receipt and incoming material checklist, reporting discrepancies to the Materials Coordinator.
  • Ensure shipping and receiving employee roles and responsibilities are completed efficiently and timely.
  • Report any deliveries that have not been delivered at their scheduled window time.
  • Properly file Packing Slips on a daily basis and archive old documents every 3 months.
  • Provide daily Yard report.
  • Perform daily cycle counts.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement ideas.
  • Assist the Materials Manager and Materials Coordinator with investigating inventory errors and discrepancies.
  • Log in all FedEX/UPS shipments and obtain the proper signature before releasing the package.
  • Perform dock audits as requested.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Be willing to work overtime if there is no coverage in the receiving office.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a High School graduate minimum or equivalent, 2-year associate's Degree preferred. At least 2 years experience in a manufacturing automotive environment is required. Hi-lo license is necessary. Ability to teach and lead others on material handling matters is essential. Capable and experienced with safe operation of material handling equipment such as fork trucks, tote carts, and tuggers. Familiar with part sequencing, kiting, barcoding, and the importance of safe material handling principles. Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills are required. Above-average mechanical aptitude and analytical skills are necessary. Knowledge of internal shop order numbers, their components, and their importance is required.
