Nighttime Support Coordinator

North Suffolk Community Services Inc. is seeking dedicated Overnight Support Specialists to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals with mental health conditions in a residential environment. In this role, you will be responsible for providing assistance to clients according to their specific needs while adhering to all organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remain alert and accessible to residents throughout the overnight shift until they depart the facility for the day or until the morning staff arrives.
- Conduct hourly security checks to confirm the presence of residents within the premises.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the household as necessary.
- Record each resident's progress in their confidential files.
- Prepare daily reports at the end of your shift, documenting any incidents and ensuring effective communication with fellow team members.
- Assist with the administration of medications as required.
Qualifications:
- Education: A High School diploma or GED is required; a Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of six months of experience working with individuals who have severe and persistent mental health issues or substance use disorders is required if a college degree is not held.
- Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills are essential. A valid driver's license is preferred. Candidates must be willing to obtain MAP certification and CPR/First Aid certification within five months of employment (training will be provided).
