As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being during overnight shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be awake and available to individuals during overnight shifts until they have left the residential program or until the morning staff person arrives.
- Perform security checks on an hourly basis to ensure the safety of individuals and the facility.
- Document each person's progress in their confidential record.
- Perform tasks on the cleaning checklist and all duties based on individual needs and schedules.
- Write daily notes at the end of the shift if needed, noting any incidents and maintaining regular communication with other team members.
- Complete medication counts.
Requirements:
- Education: High School diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience: Zero to six years of related experience providing child care, elder care, or direct support to developmentally disabled persons, or previous experience supporting individuals in a mental health, special education, or other human services setting.
- Skills: Must have a valid Massachusetts Driver's license, be or become MAP certified, and be CPR/First Aid certified within five months of hire.
