Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Department Supervisor to join our team at MaineHealth. As a key member of our radiology team, you will be responsible for supervising Radiologic Technologists and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and oversight to Radiologic Technologists, ensuring they have the necessary tools and support to perform their duties effectively.
  • Patient Care: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive the best possible care, from diagnosis to treatment.
  • Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the radiology department, including scheduling, inventory management, and quality control.
  • Education and Training: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills of Radiologic Technologists and other staff members.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Foster strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Experience: Five years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Certification and Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and a current State of Maine Radiologic Technologist License.
  • Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of radiology practices and standards, medical procedures, and clinical/clerical skills. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite applications.
