Job Summary

As a Digital Imaging Specialist at Western & Southern Life, you will be responsible for operating high-speed digital copiers and working with graphic designers to produce quality documents and forms. This role requires a calm and professional demeanor, as well as the ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and complete tasks accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review color or black and white requirements and paper specifications for all jobs in the copying area.
  • Examine proofs and make adjustments to files to obtain desired results for customers.
  • Coordinate schedules with pre-press and bindery associates to ensure timely production of work.
  • Retrieve work from the network file server to replenish inventory forms and produce on-demand forms.
  • Produce documents for customers on digital copiers using electronic or scanned files, editing and revising electronic files as needed.
  • Combine variable data with static files to produce personalized documents.
  • Perform daily and monthly maintenance on copiers, including calibrations, to ensure equipment is in good operating condition.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Demonstrated experience maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when handling demanding situations (required).
  • Proven experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously and completing assigned tasks accurately and on time (required).
  • Proven basic knowledge of digital printing functions.
  • Demonstrated verbal communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and apply changing technologies.
  • Proven sufficient mathematical abilities to perform standard graphic arts production procedures.
  • Working knowledge of word processing applications.

Work Setting/Position Demands
  • This position works primarily in an inside environment with frequent exposure to noise, dirt, odors, and temperature.
  • Demonstrated ability to walk, stand, stoop, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, push, climb, and lift a maximum of 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Position requires remaining in a continuously stationary position (sitting or standing) for long periods of time.
