YOUR ROLE

We are seeking compassionate and skilled individuals to join our team as Vision Care Technicians. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the essential pre-examination tasks during patient visits. This includes collecting and documenting patient medical histories and performing various routine and specialized tests. Your contributions will be crucial in ensuring a positive patient experience and assisting our physicians in diagnosing and managing eye conditions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct tests to assess patients' visual acuity, peripheral vision, depth perception, and color vision.
  • Administer eye drops for anesthesia, dilation, or medication and manage specimen collection for laboratory analysis.
  • Effectively triage urgent cases and maintain an efficient patient flow within the practice.
  • Prepare examination rooms and assist ophthalmologists during procedures as necessary.
  • Perform routine maintenance on medical equipment and report any malfunctions to the office management.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SUCCESS

  • Ability to provide high-quality service and respond promptly to patient needs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in high-pressure situations.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of ocular pharmacology is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and use hands frequently, with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
