Role Responsibilities:
  1. Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans within the multidisciplinary team.
  2. Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their caregivers, ensuring understanding of respiratory disease processes and treatment procedures.
  3. Accept reassignments to other units as needed and collaborate with staff and students to share clinical knowledge and best practices.
  4. Develop and implement effective respiratory care plans, communicating with medical and nursing staff as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree required.
  • RRT certification and Illinois license.
  • BLS and NRP-MHC certifications.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience.
  • Minimum 36 guaranteed hours.
Work Environment:

Variable shifts, normal position urgency, and no holiday coverage required.

Specialty type: Cardiopulmonary, sub-specialty: Respiratory Therapy, and general certifications: BLS/BCLS.

Bilingual not required, and EMR used: EPIC.
