About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale (MHC). As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient outcomes and make changes to the plan of care within the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their families regarding respiratory disease processes, intervention procedures, and discharge plans.
  • Accept reassignments to other units when necessary and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
  • Share clinical knowledge with staff and students, serving as a role model for clinical practice.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care.
  • Provide respiratory care as ordered by physicians, maintaining open communication with medical and nursing staff.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree required.
  • RRT, Illinois License, BLS, and NRP-MHC certifications.
