We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Department Coordinator to join our Retail team at Marshalls. As a key member of our store operations, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of daily tasks and activities.
Key Responsibilities- Support store management in the execution of administrative functions, ensuring an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers.
- Maintain a clean and organized store, promoting a culture of honesty and integrity.
- Take an active role in the hiring process, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, and onboarding new Associates.
- Perform daily cash office functions, maintaining cash office standards and ensuring proper Associate coverage in service areas.
- Support Operations Assistant Store Manager with scheduling, expense account monitoring, supply inventory, and requisition.
- Communicate effectively with management and Associates, prioritizing tasks and providing progress updates.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, partnering with Management on Associate training needs.
- Ensure adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, maintaining organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs, supporting and participating in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
- Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Capable of multi-tasking and responding to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Team player, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
- Able to train others and possess 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
