At Animal Hospital of Old Metairie, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate DVM to join our team. As a Veterinary Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients while developing strong relationships with their owners.

The ideal candidate will have a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university and a commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine. Proficiency in surgery is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care to patients while developing strong relationships with their owners
  • Perform physical examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures
  • Educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products
  • Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and ensure all necessary logs are kept up-to-date
  • Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
  • Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine
