About This Opportunity

Animal Hospital of Old Metairie is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. As a key member of our hospital, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients while developing strong relationships with their owners.

Responsibilities
  • Perform physical examinations, surgeries, and dentistry procedures with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care and minimizing stress and discomfort.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, explaining physical examination findings and presenting treatment plans in a clear and compassionate manner.
  • Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attending Continuing Education meetings and workshops.
  • Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and exceptional client service.
  • Represent the hospital positively in the professional community and to the general public.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of Louisiana.
  • Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive, friendly attitude.
  • The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members.
  • Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.
  • Compassionate team player who can uphold a great reputation with clients.
  • A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
