About the Role:

Job Summary:

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Network Architect to support the development and implementation of advanced network solutions for the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI). As a key member of the Leidos team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and supporting the transport areas of the NMCI network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Engineering: Proactively contribute to the analysis, design, and planning of NMCI transport areas, ensuring the delivery of secure, effective, and efficient network solutions.
  • Vendor Management: Serve as a technical expert for vendor solutions and engineering support products related to transport, performing reach-back research and development to ensure effective design and application in the production environment.
  • Solution Development: Develop and engineer solutions that provide secure, effective, and efficient operation of systems, architecture, and topology for transport.
  • Project Planning: Participate in the planning of upgrades, replacement, configuration, and maintenance of networking/transport projects, collaborating with technical experts to synthesize solutions related to transport.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Collaborate with external customers, management, subcontractors, vendors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Process Compliance: Comply with ITSM processes and procedures, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) governance, and Cybersecurity requirements within the DoDI and DON 5239.
  • Mentorship and Training: Mentor and review the work of junior team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success in the role.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: Eight (8) or more years' experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an active Secret clearance to start the program.
  • Technical Skills: Technical knowledge and skills in one or more of the following areas: BAN/LAN/WLAN/WAN, cross domain solutions, communications security, and piers connectivity.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Strong analytical, communication, and troubleshooting skills that enable proactive and effective collaboration with a virtual team.
  • Security Clearance: Security+ or other applicable certification to meet DoD 8570 requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • DoD Experience: Experience working on DoD programs, specifically Navy programs.
  • Certifications: CCNA/CCNP, INCOSE CSEP, ITIL, CISSP.
