Job Description
Our team, supporting The USN Next Generation Enterprise Networks Recompete (NGEN-R) Contract, has an immediate need for a Communications Network Technician 3. A qualified candidate for this position would be responsible for network design, integration, test, security, and implementation of Transport Services for the as-fielded NMCI network. Must have an extensive knowledge of defense-in-depth principles, Network and Security architecture, network topology, IT device integrity, and common security elements. Primary responsibilities include:
Provide Information Assurance Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and thought leadership for the largest Intranet in the world
Collaborate with Network Domain Architects to define and/or continuously improve:
- Audit and Review STIG compliant configuration baselines, versioning, and compliance tracking;
- Test and Validate Automation and best practice insertion opportunities;
- Lead development of SOPs/TTPs;
- Continuous Service Improvements (CSI);
- Create and maintain Engineering Implementation Plans (EIP)
Plan and execute network upgrades and maintenance activities with the NMCI Operations Manager, NOC Lead, Release Management team and other key stakeholders
Job Requirements
Must possess an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) network support certification such as a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
Must possess an Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level III
