About the Role

The Quality Lead Resident Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met at the Customer Facility. This position leads the Quality Resident Engineer and coordinates all relevant rework and sorting activities.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely feedback of defects and customer complaints to Drive Automotive and coordinate Clean Points with the customer.
  • Review Drive's Internal Issues (Quality Alerts) and previous shift passdown.
  • Attend meetings and ensure issues are communicated effectively.
  • Investigate customer concerns and determine if the issue is Internal or Drive-related.
  • Provide feedback on potential concerns at the customer site.
  • Perform containment of non-conforming product found at the customer.
  • Balance and meet Customer, People, and Investor goals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical related discipline or 5 years related automotive experience with a sound understanding of BIW build fit & function.
  • Strong understanding of die/die process, assembly tooling, welding & sealer applications, data processing & reporting, metal finishing to customer specifications, and customer tolerancing concepts.
Preferred Qualifications

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Project, and Word. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as strong leadership skills.
