Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the construction inspection team.
  • Attend and manage progress meetings.
  • Review RFI's and coordinate responses.
  • Check performed work as approved from site specific work plans.
  • Prepare daily Resident Engineer and monthly progress reports.
  • Review construction schedules.
  • Coordinate the inspection activities and quality control inspection.
  • Confirm that the work adheres to the specific contract requirements.
  • Maintain and follow KSE's health and safety procedures as well as firm various policies and procedures.
  • Process of change orders, payment approval, punch lists, and projects close-out procedures.
  • Interact and liaise with community boards, the public, and city, state, and federal agencies.
Requirements
  • BS /MS Engineering or Construction Management degree.
  • PE License NYS.
  • Certifications such as ACI, SAT, TCP, NACE, AWS, and OSHA 30 hours are highly desired.
  • 10 years of relevant experience in construction inspection or management of infrastructure construction projects.
  • Prior experience in the reconstruction/rehabilitation of roadways and highways, utility work, as well as installation and replacement of sewers and water mains.
  • Prior experience with NYCDOT and NYCDDC.
