Job Overview

Position: Part-time Financial Specialist


Weather Shield Roofing Systems is in search of a skilled Financial Specialist to enhance our dynamic team. The primary focus of this role will be to manage daily financial operations across various sectors of the business. Additional duties will include supporting month-end closing processes, job costing, departmental reporting, and providing assistance during audits. Familiarity with QuickBooks is highly desirable.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable transactions, ensuring precise job and departmental costing
  • Maintain comprehensive vendor and customer databases
  • Record receivable payments, addressing any discrepancies
  • Oversee receivable collections, including tracking lien deadlines
  • Keep accurate inventory records
  • Manage fixed asset documentation, including records for fleet vehicles
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
  • Compile and generate routine reports to support departmental needs
  • Provide assistance for other accounting and office tasks as required

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant Accounting or Bookkeeping experience
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Experience with QuickBooks is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Flexibility to work both remotely and in an office setting

Job Type: Part-time - Approximately 10 to 15 hours per week

Compensation: $45 per hour
