Pharmacist - Patient Care Specialist

Job Summary:
As a Pharmacist at Food City, you will play a vital role in dispensing prescribed medications, educating customers on health promotion and disease prevention, and selling non-prescription medications and related goods in our pharmacies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional patient counseling services to customers, ensuring their understanding of medication usage and health promotion.
- Follow Food City's operating policies and procedures, including compliance with governmental laws and regulations.
- Maximize sales and profits by promoting customer satisfaction and achieving acceptable levels of gross margin.
- Direct the duties of department associates during the Pharmacy Manager's absence, ensuring seamless operations.
- Provide training and development to pharmacy associates, enhancing their skills and knowledge in required areas.
- Ensure associates' motivation and enthusiasm remain at a positive level, setting a standard of conduct for all departmental associates.
Requirements:
- Valid and active state-issued Pharmacist license.
- Immunization Certification through an accredited organization (e.g., APhA).
- Experience in a retail pharmacy environment, preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and electronically, as well as the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks, and have constant contact/interaction with various levels of individuals on a daily basis.
