Job Summary:

The Nursing Assistant will provide direct patient care and supportive services to the nursing unit and healthcare provider team under registered nurse supervision. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the appropriate state. The ideal candidate will have basic computer skills and be able to use a computer for documentation and training purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct patient care, including bedside care, nursing assistant procedures, and routine housekeeping duties as needed.
Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for patients, such as bathing, toileting, eating, dressing, and grooming.
Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respirations, and temperature.
Report any accidents, incidents, injuries, or skin tears to the nurse supervisor or charge nurse.
Perform blood glucose monitoring as required.
Use a computer for documentation and training purposes.

Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the appropriate state.
Basic computer skills and ability to use a computer for documentation and training purposes.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to change working areas and services as needed.
Must meet education and training requirements of the department.
Completes training/competency in specialty skills/procedures for department population as designated.
Must be flexible to change working area/service multiple times daily.
