Eye Care Specialist Opportunity

KurzSolutions is seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will work collaboratively with the Surgical Service to provide administrative and clinical care duties related to Veteran patients with various eye diseases and conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform refractometry, visual acuity measurement, and kinetic visual field testing
  • Conduct pupil evaluation, slit lamp biomicroscopy, and A-scan ultrasonography
  • Measure eyeglass prescriptions and perform anterior segment OCT, confocal microscopy, and electroretinography
  • Assist in minor clinical surgical procedures, including laser surgery and intravitreal injections

Requirements:

  • Certified as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) with the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (JCAHPO)
  • Good interpersonal skills and knowledge of personal computer operation
  • Experience working with an interdisciplinary team
