MV Transportation is seeking a skilled Transportation Operations Coordinator to provide dispatch support and ensure the smooth operation of our transportation services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assigning buses, updating dispatch logs, and managing overtime operators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign buses to ensure proper bus assignments for each run
  • Update dispatch logs to reflect bus assignments, absence coding, call-out comments, and operator names
  • Update dispatch computer to ensure accurate timekeeping and coding
  • Answer the dispatch phone and record information on the daily dispatch log
  • Track shuttle cars, collect DVIR sheets, and work with the radio operator to manage fill buses, swap buses, and mechanical breakdowns
  • Manage overtime operators and ensure accurate payment and documentation
  • Check operators in and out, and assist the Operations Manager with tasks as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum two (2) years of administrative management experience or equivalent
  • Ability to read and enter data, operate a business telephone, and provide excellent customer service
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows-based computer operations systems and ability to comprehend policies and procedures
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
