This comprehensive program is designed to transition recent nursing graduates or RNs with less than 6 months of experience into the fast-paced hospital world with greater confidence, more comprehensive knowledge, and an enhanced set of skills.
About the Program:
The Nurse Residency Pathway at Christus Health offers a nationally recognized, comprehensive, and evidence-based program that organizes and oversees all aspects of your learning. You will be supported professionally and emotionally by our nurses who act as mentors, preceptors, and de-briefers, guiding and evaluating your growth at every step.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in a comprehensive onboarding program that includes interactive virtual classes, clinical performance tracking, and evaluation materials.
- Work closely with preceptors and other residents to develop clinical skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to a team environment that prioritizes patient care and safety.
- Develop strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with a valid, unencumbered Texas license.
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
- Working knowledge of the nursing process and therapeutic, physical, psychosocial, spiritual, cultural, and developmental needs for a select category of patients.
