Job Summary

As a Career Transitional Specialist at Equus Workforce Solutions, you will play a vital role in helping young people succeed in their chosen fields. Your primary responsibility will be to assess graduates' placement readiness and provide appropriate referrals and support services. You will also ensure timely placement and retention of assigned graduates in quality jobs, the military, or further education and training opportunities. Additionally, you will promote job development through direct contact with employers, One-Stops, JTPA, and State Employment Agencies. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to clearly communicate and consistently model appropriate CSS and employability skills. You will maintain accountability of staff, students, and property, adhering to safety practices in all areas of responsibility. You will foster and sustain a conducive environment at the center, ensuring it remains free from harassment, intimidation, and disrespect. You will also attend all required staff training opportunities and perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or a closely related field. Alternatively, you may have an Associate's degree in a related field and two years of related experience. You will also need experience working with diverse youth and a valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.
