Job Summary:

Applewood Centers is a private, nonprofit agency providing mental health services, social services, and education to children, adolescents, and families living in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties.

Our Mission:

We are dedicated to addressing a variety of behavioral, emotional, and learning problems, providing a continuum of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide intensive, in-home and community-based counseling, and CPST services to children and their families.
  • Develop strength-based engagement with children and families in need of services.
  • Assist clients and families with skill development, anger management, managing mental, emotional, and behavior symptomology.
  • Travel to families with evening availability.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy.
  • LSW, LPC, or MFT licensure.
  • Prior experience in the delivery of mental health services in the home/community to children and families with complex needs.
  • Training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy preferred.
