About the Job

This is an entry-level position for a Field Service Technician responsible for performing calibration and preventative maintenance on weighing and wrapping equipment without assistance. The individual will work in a business area and be required to utilize resources such as technical support, mentors, or training materials to complete tasks. May be required to assist others on installations, projects, and repairs as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform PC networking and software configuration
  2. Perform calibrations and preventative maintenance duties according to METTLER TOLEDO procedures and customer requirements
  3. Assist and cooperate with Scheduling Analyst and Service Support Team as necessary
  4. Is proactive in promoting and selling service and products
  5. Resolve first-line customer concerns and helps resolve invoicing issues when applicable
  6. Accurately complete and submit all required paperwork on a daily basis as required via company-issued laptop PC in a professional manner
  7. Maintain a close professional relationship with external/internal customers, sales, technicians, and leaders
  8. Complete Kronos timekeeping on a daily basis and ensure punches are entered for each activity as they occur
  9. Provide accurate problem analysis to higher-level technical personnel when escalation to resolve the issue is required
  10. Work to ensure an atmosphere of collaboration and teamwork with field and service support colleagues
  11. Comply with the Company Fleet policy
  12. Accurately submit Weights & Measures paperwork to state/county in a timely manner
  13. On-call rotation is required to support Mettler Toledo customer base
  14. All other duties as assigned
