Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to serve as our Clery Act Compliance Coordinator. This role is responsible for ensuring North Carolina Central University's compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) and related regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and coordinate all Clery Act compliance efforts, serving as the university's subject matter expert on the Clery Act and a resource for related compliance issues.
  • Regularly review, develop, and update policies to ensure ongoing compliance with the Clery Act.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive filing system to store all documentation needed to demonstrate Clery Act compliance.
  • Liaise with law enforcement agencies to ensure timely and accurate reporting of incidents within the university's Clery geography.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the NCCU Clery Act Compliance Committee and assist with running the committee's activities.
Requirements
  • Experience in assisting with administering a program for the Clery Act or other programs pertinent to higher education laws or regulations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and to plan and conduct community programs.
  • Ability to collect and interpret statistical data, identify problems, and identify potential options for resolution of issues identified.
