Medical Director Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Director to lead our veterinary hospital team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in veterinary medicine, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement treatment plans that meet the highest standards of veterinary care
  • Collaborate with our veterinary team to deliver exceptional patient care and build strong relationships with clients
  • Mentor and train our veterinary staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide the best possible care
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in veterinary medicine and ensure our hospital is at the forefront of best practices
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines

Requirements:

  • Active and clear State License in the applicable State
  • Experience in GP or surgery
  • Leadership experience a plus
  • At least 2-5 years of experience
  • High clinical standards - Committed to compassionate, exceptional veterinary care
  • Dedicated to building a progressive and united culture
  • Exceptional communication skills, energetic, organized, meticulous, and outgoing
  • Enthusiastic about teaching leadership skills and mentoring staff
