Employee Relations Director Job Summary
The Employee Relations Director will lead the development and execution of comprehensive employee relations strategies that align with the company's policies and objectives. This role is responsible for enhancing employee relations strategies, programs, practices, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of comprehensive employee relations strategies that align with the company's policies and objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Employee Relations Partners.
- Provide expert consultation and advice to HR Partners on employee relations matters, ensuring consistent application of company policies and legal compliance.
- Lead and manage various employee relations projects such as reductions in force and business restructure activity.
- Develop and deliver training programs for HR Partners on employee relations best practices and processes.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to mitigate potential risks and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Analyze trends in employee relations issues and provide regular reporting and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Support enterprise-wide HR initiatives and process improvements to ensure alignment across various stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Typically requires a university degree with 14 years of Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Human Resources experience or an advanced degree with 12 years of related experience.
- Experience managing employee relations issues including conducting investigations and resolving conflicts.
- Experience leading a team of Employee Relations or Human Resources professionals.
- Experience in a union represented environment, labor relations experience.
- Experience prioritizing multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience using Compliance 360 or similar case management platform.
- Experience collaborating effectively and independently with individuals at all levels in the organization including executives.
